Our services

Client Centered Services

Specializing in appropriate placement for those needing assisted living or memory care, combined with our excellence in care management, we work diligently to find the right fit for your loved one.

We will shoulder this burden with and for you.

We will start with the basics of describing the types of care communities that exist in our area or we can meet you wherever your knowledge level is.

Client Services

Comprehensive Assessments & Consulting Services

Simply Seniors was created to assist clients and families with every aspect of the aging process.  The individual’s assessment, including personal care, social, and financial needs combined with the family’s concerns are used as the focus for a uniquely-crafted care plan.  None of our clients share the same care plan as another.

You may feel alone, but when you begin working with us, you will know you no longer are alone.  You do not need to do this alone. We will walk this journey with you.  Our clients and you become like family to us and we are like family to our clients.

If you are not certain where you or your loved one are on the path, or you think you may need help soon but not yet, give us a call anyway.  There is no cost for talking with us or for working with us to have your family member assessed and appropriately placed in the best care community for their needs.

During our comprehensive intake process, we will evaluate the care needs, including cognition, and social needs of your loved one along with the financial resources that would be required to get there.  We are keenly aware of the financial constraints facing many families and options for addressing some of that financial struggle.  Taking into account the current financial picture, we can work toward creating the best care solution that makes your family member feel safe, loved, and cared for.

Placement Services

Senior Living Community Selection & Placement

With so many living communities available, the options can be easily overwhelming.  Between Assisted Living, Independent Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing Care, Hospice, and In-Home Care there is an abundance of information to absorb and understand. For us at Simply Seniors of Charleston, decisions you make about your aging loved one may be the most challenging and important decisions you ever make.

When people are properly placed based on their wants, needs, and financial resources, their chances of having to move again are reduced, their needs are met, and their quality of life improves. While transitioning to a new community can be stressful, we work with our families every step of the way to ease the burden and help families get back to focusing on each other rather than the ongoing care needs.

Dementia care and educating others about cognitive impairment in the aging is Cindy Williams’ area of great interest and expertise. She also coaches people about what they can do now to prevent the early onset of symptoms. She and her staff are acutely aware of the challenges of memory care and the importance of proper placement of affected individuals the very first time.  If you suspect your loved one has problems with memory, don’t wait until you think you might need help.  You already do.  Reach out to us today, so we can begin crafting long- and short-term plans now.  There is no cost to you for this consultation or for our placement services.

Well Visits

Seniors Living at Home

Oftentimes, families are stretched too thin.  They have many competing obligations between taking care of younger children and older parents and we, in the middle, constantly feel the guilt of not being there enough or doing enough for our loved ones, younger and aging. Taking care of Seniors at home is especially taxing on family caregivers. We can help by coaching you and putting safeguards into place for your loved one receiving in-home care and for you.

Well Visits are designed to create a ‘go to’ person for things that involve your loved one’s care.  Creating that independent, extra set of eyes, can give families the peace of mind they so desperately need.  We work with each family to make sure we are creating positive support.  Well Visits can take place for our clients living in a care community or in the home.  Whatever your senior’s needs, we will help you find a sensible solution customized for them and you.

Our specialty services include those that are arranged for particular clients who are receiving care in their homes.  Their care plans include services that can be discussed and arranged during the consultation process following the comprehensive assessment.

Coordination of Care

Care Management & Advocacy

Not sure why mom’s on 101 medications?  Are you concerned that maybe the care team isn’t communicating information with you or others who need it?  Simply Seniors can help coordinate care with doctors to ensure that their care is working in sync with all other aspects of care and all reports are updated. It’s always a good idea to have someone with your loved one when seeing their medical professionals to ask questions, take notes, and ensure that they are aware of any issues or changes.  That’s where we come in when you can’t be there.  We are the care manager for your loved one and you.

When it comes to seniors, Simply Seniors knows just how important proper, timely medical care is and how quickly things can get out of control.  We’re here to advocate for your loved one and partner with you to ensure all of the bases are covered and everyone is on the same page. We will make sure you get timely information and that your questions and concerns are addressed appropriately.

We have many out-of-town family members who rely on us to be their Advocate and Case Manager in their absence. Whether you are local or long distance, it is important to have someone on your side who understands the terminology, the health conditions and required care that your loved one needs to feel safe and well cared-for.
